4.5.1 General

• Document the changes sufficiently for its review
• Review the change to ensure:
• Progress monitored against time
• Objectives achieved
• Risks managed
• Any deviations are:
• Identified
• Addressed
• Any identified improvements to the plan are recorded
• They are working effectively / as designed
• Temporary changes do not exceed the initial authorization for:
  • Scope
  • Time

Note: If this happens, review and re-approve the change by the appropriate level of management.

4.5.2 When to Review MoC?

Office

           At least quarterly during management meetings.

Ship

           During handover of Masters and Chief Engineers.

Additional Review by Office or Ship

Additional review is required if:

• The change has not been successful
• The proposed timescale has been exceeded

During additional review:

• Review the change
• Revalidate the change
• Approve the change
